Person of interest sought in East St. Louis murder investigation

EAST ST. LOUIS, Ill. – The Illinois State Police’s Division of Criminal Investigation is asking for the public’s help in solving a homicide in East St. Louis this past December.

On the afternoon of Dec. 5, 2023, the East St. Louis Police Department requested the ISP’s help in a fatal shooting.

The victim, Dariell Braddix, was found shot to death in the 600 block of South 15th Street. Braddix was 47.

Over the last two-plus months, investigators have developed a person of interest but need the public’s help to identify them.
