ST. LOUIS – Parkway North High School is getting a new entrance in an effort to make the building more secure for its students and staff.

Over the last few years, Parkway has been working to provide more secure entrances at their schools. Parkway North is the last high school in the district to receive this upgrade.

The rendering of the new entrance is part of the new Proposition S project. The project passed with over 76% community approval in November 2022.

Prop S will pay for projects at every school in the district over the next six years.

A groundbreaking ceremony will be taking place at the high school located on 12860 Fee Road at 9:30 a.m. Monday morning.

Several students, the facilities director, the principal, and the assistant superintendent will all be there for the event.

The Parkway School District has a total of four high schools: Parkway Central, Parkway West, Parkway South and Parkway North.
