BRECKENRIDGE, Mo. – The parents of a former Ritenour School District student were charged Thursday after their child threatened Husky Academy and took a loaded gun to the school.

According to court records, Traci Thompson and Terry Thompson have been charged with tampering with physical evidence in a felony prosecution in connection to the school threat last week.

St. Ann Police said the parents were present when the teen was arrested. They allegedly went back to Terry’s home to hide ammunition from earlier that day and take it to Traci’s home in an attempt to conceal it from the investigation.

Police said they later found the bag with ammunition at Traci’s house.

Traci and Terry have are held on a $250,000 cash-only bond. The teen has been charged with first-degree making a terrorist threat, unlawful use of a weapon, and resisting arrest amid the investigation.
