ST. LOUIS – Burglars used a crowbar to break into a south St. Louis smoke shop and convenience store overnight.

According to Evita Caldwell, a spokeswoman for the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department, officers received word of an alarm just before 3:35 a.m. at the Pitstop Smoke Shop on Chippewa Street in the St. Louis Hills neighborhood.

Police claim five males in dark clothing forced their way into the store and stole lottery tickets, cigarettes, various smoking products, and the cash register.
