ST. LOUIS — The U.S. Surgeon General has warned that substance abuse disorders affect nearly everyone in the United States – either directly or indirectly.

It comes as Assisted Recovery Centers of America (ARCA) recently opened a new free, walk-in clinic in north St. Louis County. On this week’s Pulse of St. Louis, Jasmine Huda spoke with ARCA President Percy Menzies, ARCA Exec. Director Aaron Laxton, and participant Josh Dugan about the new clinic and the critical services it provides, including substance use disorder treatment; detox and stabilization; psychiatric services, and harm reduction and prevention services.
