New York man charged after two loaded guns seized at Lambert Airport

ST. LOUIS – A New York man faces criminal charges after he allegedly attempted to pass through Lambert Airport’s TSA checkpoint with two loaded guns.

The St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office has charged Duran Fiack, 39, of Brooklyn, New York, with two counts of unlawful use of a weapon for carrying a concealed firearm.

The charges date back to Sept. 23, 2024, according to court documents obtained by FOX 2.

Documents state that Fiack was traveling through Lambert Airport and placed a bag at a security checkpoint machine for inspection.

After that, a TSA official observed two weapons in Fiack’s bag. Investigators later determined the weapons were a 9mm handgun and a .25 caliber handgun loaded with ammunition.

TSA officials promptly seized the weapons and arrested Fiack upon the discovery.

A criminal summons was issued in Fiack’s case on Friday. He has a court hearing scheduled for Dec. 4, 2024, according to Missouri court records.
