Most expensive restaurants in MO and IL: Dining report

MISSOURI/ILLINOIS – The most expensive restaurants across all 50 U.S. states have been outlined in a new dining report.

Love Food, a dining and cooking website, found that Pierpont’s in Kansas City, Missouri, and Alinea in Chicago’s Lincoln Park neighborhood were the most expensive in the two states.

Pierpont’s, located inside Kansas City’s Union Station, was noted for its elegance and serving up small plates, seafood dishes, and prime cuts of meat. The restaurant‘s menu features a 24-ounce ribeye for $95 and seafood towers costing up to $220.

Alinea in Chicago is a three-Michelin-starred restaurant noted for its modern cuisine with “artful presentation.” Dishes featured on their menu include edible balloons, clouds of dry ice, and consumable art. According to Love Food, a multi-course meal could cost as much as $500 per person.
