ILLINOIS – If you’re thinking of surprising that special someone with chocolates, flowers or gift cards for this Valentine’s Day, you might need to rethink your options.
According to a report by the Illinois Lottery, which surveyed 18 to 65 year olds, Illinoisans view lottery scratch-off tickets as an exciting gift instead of the traditional chocolates or flowers.
The Illinois Lottery survey discovered that 99% of men and 92% of women who gifted scratch-off tickets reported positive outcomes from their partners.
Although scratch-off lottery tickets are ranked a popular present among Illinoisans, only a third of individuals receive that gift for Valentine’s Day, the survey finds.
So if Illinoisans are looking to surprise that special someone—while also feeling optimistic in the chances of making some extra cash—a lottery scratch-off ticket may be the perfect gift for Valentine’s Day.
