ST. LOUIS – For those who truly believe breakfast is the most important meal of the day, finding the ideal eats to start the day is a top priority. Food writers recently praised one St. Louis restaurant as the best for brunch and breakfast in Missouri.

A research team from LoveFood.com recently compiled a list of the “best brunch and breakfast joints in every US state.” Their selections were based on reviews, awards, and accolades, in addition to the first-hand experience of their food-writing team.

According to LoveFood.com, the best brunch and breakfast joint in Missouri is none other than Rooster in the City of St. Louis.

Rooster has served the St. Louis community for nearly two decades. Staff members describe it as a European-style urban café specializing in crepes, sandwiches, and cooked-to-order classic breakfast selections. It also stands out with a variety of beverages, like coffee, craft beer and cocktails.

LoveFood.com gives the following review of Rooster:

“For a cosy, leisurely breakfast or brunch, look no further than Rooster in downtown St. Louis. Made with locally sourced ingredients, the dishes range from crêpes and sandwiches to scrambled eggs and other breakfast classics. Much-loved among customers is the Rooster Slinger – andouille sausage, eggs, breakfast potatoes and sausage gravy, served over thick-cut toast. There’s a tasty vegan alternative, too.”

Rooster has two locations that serve St. Louis: 1025 Washington Avenue in Downtown St. Louis and 3150 South Grand Boulevard near Tower Grove Park.
