ST. LOUIS – The McDonald’s franchise is launching a new anime series called ‘Welcome to WcDonald’s.’ WcDonald’s is an anime version of McDonald’s that has been featured in popular anime movies and shows.

Starting February 26, McDonald’s will be launching WcDonald’s in over 30 markets worldwide. The restaurant will transform into a WcDonald’s universe, featuring a new sauce, manga-inspired packaging, and episode shorts.

McDonald’s is collaborating with Studio Pierrot to create the first official WcDonald’s anime series, titled ‘Welcome to WcDonald’s.’

Every Monday, from February 26 to March 18, a new short episode will be released, along with new manga on WcDonalds.com or by scanning the code on the WcDonald’s bag. The shorts will celebrate four of anime’s biggest subgenres – Action, Romance, Mecha, and Fantasy.

Fans can experience the WcDonald’s universe through 360-degree projection mapping and immersive tabletop projections inspired by the four WcDonald’s anime episode shorts. The food served will be a set menu of WcDonald’s items.
