STE. GENEVIEVE COUNTY, Mo. – A man died after crashing into a tree Friday evening in Ste. Genevieve County, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
MSHP has identified the victim as Keegan Schubert, 21, of Arnold, Missouri. Next of kin have been notified.
The crash happened around 8:30 p.m. Friday after Schubert was heading westbound on Missouri Route O, near Missouri Route 32.
A MSHP crash report states that Schubert traveled off the left side of the roadway, then struck an embankment before he struck a tree. He was rushed to a hospital, where he was later pronounced deceased.
No other injuries were reported in the crash. MSHP Troop C, which covers much of the St. Louis region, is investigating the crash.
