FLORISSANT, Mo. — A man faces multiple felony charges after allegedly breaking into a neighbor’s home through the doggy door. Delano Martin, 37, is charged with burglary, stealing, and unlawful possession of a firearm.

Police say that Martin entered a home on Hirondelle Lane through a dog door between August 21 and 28, stealing tools, electronics, jewelry, and several guns. Surveillance video and witness testimony led to Martin’s arrest. Investigators say Martin, a registered sex offender, admitted to the crimes and had the stolen items.

Martin is being held on a $100,000 cash-only bond. The St. Louis County Police Department’s Bureau of Crimes Against Persons is leading the ongoing investigation.
