Man arrested following standoff at Wentzville motel

WENTZVILLE, Mo. – A man was taken into custody after law enforcement was able to peacefully end a standoff situation Monday.

According to the Wentzville Police Department, they were called to 404 Luetkenhaus Blvd., home to Crossroads Heritage Motel, for a report of a disturbance that involved a mother, her two sons, and a knife.

One of the son’s locked himself into the room with his mother, which led to police calling SWAT and negotiators for additional help. Following negotiations, the son came out of the room and was immediately taken into custody.

Nobody was injured during the isolated incident, and the victims were provided resources from police.

The suspect is facing pending charges from the St. Charles County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office.
