Man arrested, charged in teenager’s shooting death in south St. Louis

ST. LOUIS – A 20-year-old man has been arrested and charged nearly two months after a teenager’s shooting death in south St. Louis.

The St. Louis Circuit Attorney’s Office has charged Marcus Allen with first-degree murder and armed criminal action in connection with the case.

Allen is accused in a deadly shooting on Dec. 23, 2024, in the 3600 block of Minnesota Avenue in St. Louis’ Gravois Park neighborhood.

The St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department reports that Romel White, 17, died in the shooting after a gunshot wound to the chest.

SLMPD says Allen was arrested on Friday after a warrant was issued. He was booked into jail in St. Louis without bond, per Missour court records.
