According to court documents obtained by FOX 2, Ricks first became upset over something inside the restaurant and threw a tray at an electronic menu. Employees then told him to leave and escorted him outside.

Once outside, an argument emerged and Ricks reportedly pulled on of the employees to the ground by her hair. The employee was also stomped on and punched in the head, per court documents. Investigators say the employee suffered a “serious physical injury.”

A special response unit with the St. Louis County Police Department arrested Ricks near University City on Wednesday. Ricks is jailed in St. Louis County on a $150,000 cash-only bond.
