Major water main break causes early dismissal at Ritenour School District

ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. – The Ritenour School District was dismissed early on Wednesday morning after a major water main break in the area.

The main broke at Midland Boulevard and Burns Avenue just west of Woodson Road in Overland.

The Ritenour School District told families that the school district and Missouri Water could not confirm when the issue would be resolved.

According to the school district, students will be dismissed early according to this schedule:

Ritenour High School, Husky Academy and ACE: 11 a.m.

Middle Schools: 11:30 a.m.

Ritenour School for Early Childhood: Noon (morning classes will dismiss as usual)

Elementary Schools: Noon

International Welcome Center: 12:30 p.m.

RHS students who attend classes at STLCC-Flo Valley will be dismissed at 1:30 p.m. after they arrive back at RHS.

The school district also said all after-school activities and YCare are canceled today. The school’s early dismissal tomorrow will still go on as planned.
