List: Where to go pumpkin picking in the St. Louis area

ST. LOUIS – With Halloween just a couple weeks away, there’s still time to go out and find the perfect pumpkin for decorations or even savored for a pumpkin pie.

Check out the various locations around St. Louis for pumpkin picking and other fun fall activities.

Thies Farm & Market

Located off Creve Coeur Airport Road in Maryland Heights, Thies Farm and Market offers a a vast array of pumpkins and even straw castles, swings, a pirate ship and even more fun for the whole family. “Pumpkinland” is open till October 31 and is only closed on Mondays.

Eckert’s

With three locations across the river in Illinois, Eckert’s is a classic spot for pumpkin picking. Pick-Your-Own is offered for pumpkin picking every Monday through Sunday for $0.79 per pound. Hop on one of their tractor rides for access to the picking fields. Tickets can be purchased online before visiting.

Pumpkins Galore

Just 40 minutes west of St. Louis in Wright City, Missouri, Pumpkins Galore has over 50 acres of pumpkins. With live music, a petting zoo and pony rides there are many attractions aside from pumpkin picking for family and friends to enjoy.

Braeutigam Orchards

A family-run farm, Braeutigam Orchards is open till October 31, offering fun and a variety of pumpkins to pick from. This pumpkin patch is located in Belleville, Illinois, and even hosts nine varieties of apples alongside fresh cider and apple cider doughnuts.

Stuckmeyer’s Farm

Stuckmeyer’s Farm will host “Halloween Farm Fun Day” every weekend until October 31 with free admission and a pick-your-own pumpkin option. They additionally provide already-picked pumpkins, mums, gourds, corn stalks, and Indian corn. The farm also hosts hayrides, pony rides, a corn maze to inflatables for kids.

Sullivan Farms

Located off New Halls Ferry Road in Florissant, Sullivan Farms celebrates 30 years of offering pumpkins, fresh bread, jelly and more to the St. Louis area. The farm offers free hayrides to pony rides and train rides for kids.
