Lawsuit against voter I.D. law today in Jefferson City, Missouri

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. – A legal challenge to Missouri’s voter ID law is in court Friday in Jefferson City.

 The NAACP and the ‘League of Women Voters’ sued to block the law requiring a photo ID to vote in Missouri. They claim it suppresses voter turnout.


Suspect wanted and charged in fatal Clayton shooting, victim identified

The law also requires anyone who tries to register voters to register with the state. Secretary of State Jay Ashcroft believes the law will be upheld in court.
