Judge denies motion to release former St. Louis alderman Jeffrey Boyd from prison early

ST. LOUIS – A former St. Louis alderman won’t get a break on a three-year federal prison sentence.

According to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, Jeffrey Boyd was convicted of taking bribes and committing fraud in December 2022, alongside two other former aldermen. Boyd argued he should be released six months early due to a change in federal sentencing rules.


Chemistry grad student busted for meth making on campus

The judge denied the motion. Boyd is set to be released on July 1 .
