Jennings house fire leaves 72-year-old woman dead

JENNINGS, Mo. – St. Louis Regional Bomb and Arson Unit, as well as the Crime Scene Unit, are investigating after a woman died in a house fire Tuesday, according to the St. Louis County Police Department.

Police were notified of a house fire in the 9400 block of Altonwood Drive in Jennings around 6 p.m. Upon arrival, crews found a woman inside the house who was transported to a hospital in an attempt for life-saving treatment.


12-year-old Florissant girl dies from the flu

Deborah Jordan succumbed to the fire-related injuries and died the next morning. She was 72.

A preliminary investigation does not assume the fire to be suspicious, according to a release.
