ST. LOUIS – A Jefferson County man appeared in federal court on Wednesday to be sentenced for recording his sexual abuse of a toddler.

Prosecutors with the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Missouri said Kyle J. Gipson, 23, served as monitor and gatekeeper for a social media group dedicated to child sexual abuse material (CSAM), bestiality, and rape.

Gipson pleaded guilty in November 2023 to one count of production of child pornography. He admitted in court to possessing CSAM involving a 2-year-old victim and others, and he discussed his abuse of the victim with others.

Gipson was arrested at his home on Mar. 13, 2023, following a court-ordered search of his property.

Earlier that month, an undercover FBI agent was in an online chat that discussed and traded CSAM when the agent met Gipson. The agent and Gipson exchanged messages on the social media apps Wickr and Telegram.

Gipson admitted sending the agent a picture of the 2-year-old victim and saying he’d sexually abused the child. He sent the agent a nude photo of the child and offered to allow the agent to sexually abuse the child as well.

A U.S. District Court judge sentenced White to 30 years in federal prison and ordered him to pay a $5,000 fine, which will be entered into a fund for victims and prevention programs.
