ST. CHARLES COUNTY, Mo. – An Indianapolis man remains jailed in St. Charles County after allegedly soliciting sex from an undercover police officer posing as a child.

According to court documents, the crimes occurred between January 16 and January 26.

St. Charles County police and prosecutors claim Chandler S. Ingels sent chat messages to someone he believed to be less than 15 years of age but was really an undercover officer. Prosecutors did not specify which chat app Ingels used.

During the conversation, Ingels suggested meeting the girl for sex in a nearby park. He also sent the undercover officer a nude picture of himself. Ingels was eventually arrested, though police did not specify where.

The St. Charles County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office charged Ingels with enticement of a child and furnishing pornography material to a minor. Ingels remains jailed on a $100,000 cash-only bond.
