VANDALIA, Ill. – St. Louis isn’t the only city with an arch for roadside attraction enthusiasts. Vandalia, Illinois, boasts its own miniature version, affectionately known as the ‘baby arch,’ situated near Jay’s Inn.

Originally, the arch was created as signage for the Economy Lodge, which no longer bears that name. In recent years, it has stood solely as an arch. It is free to visit and located in the parking lot between two inns.

This arch replica is 1/10th the height of the original and dates back to the 1960s.

Brandon observed, ‘Even though I couldn’t fit in the elevator to go up to the top, it did offer a great view of all the restaurants.’

Jordan quipped, ‘I mean – you can’t park your car under the real arch! Just saying.’

If you would like to go visit The Little Arch it is located at 1500 N. Sixth St. Vandalia, Ill.
