Illinois governor unveils new public safety building in East St. Louis

EAST ST. LOUIS, Ill — While in the Metro East today, Illinois Governor J.B. Pritzker participated in the ribbon-cutting ceremony for a new public safety building at the Emerson Park transit center in East St. Louis.

The $15 million, 16,000-square-foot facility is aimed at enhancing security at the transit center, which currently houses the St. Clair County Cen-Com West 911 emergency dispatch center and is set to become the second location for the Metrolink Operations Control Center.
