ST. LOUIS – Our freezing rain event is on track to begin early Monday and continue through the morning commute.
There is some discrepancy as to when our temperatures will warm enough to change the freezing rain to liquid precipitation. Indications show that temperatures will be near freezing at lunch time Monday, then slightly above freezing by the evening commute.
Since this is still a bit of a question mark, caution will be needed for travel all day.
The precipitation will be light, which means a couple of things: we are not overly concerned about power lines or tree limbs coming down. But even a small amount of ice on untreated surfaces will be slick and dangerous all day long.
