ST.LOUIS — Fans of classical music will want to know that the St. Louis County Library and the St. Louis Symphony Orchestra have teamed up to provide free tickets to the community. All SLCL branches will provide free SLSO concert vouchers to library visitors.

Each voucher is good for up to two tickets to a classical concert or up to four tickets to a family concert for first-time SLSO attendees. These vouchers are first-come, first serve.

Kristen Sorth, St. Louis County Library Director and CEO, said that working with the St. Louis Symphony Orchestra fits right in with their goal to help the community by giving the community access to different cultural events.  The partnership was initiated to bring classical music to more people so that everyone can enjoy the cultural experience of symphonic music.

Marie-Hélène Bernard, SLSO President and CEO, said they’re grateful to the St. Louis County Library team for working with them to let people hear the SLSO’s incredibly skilled musicians.

Currently, Powell Hall is undergoing renovations, and because of this, the SLSO will be using other venues in the St. Louis region. Most concerts are scheduled at the Touhill Performing Arts Center at the University of Missouri–St. Louis and the Stifel Theatre. More information is available on the SLSO website. A list of SLCL hours and locations can be found on their website
