KIRKWOOD, Mo. – Authorities are responding to a gas leak Thursday afternoon in Kirkwood, which has led to traffic closures along Big Bend Road.
The Kirkwood Police Department responded to a “major gas leak” around 3 p.m. Thursday.
Spire officials have also arrived to the scene as crews work to clean up and investigate.
Big Bend Road is closed between South Fillmore Road and South Kirkwood Road. Police say traffic is being diverted at South Fillmore and Milwaukee
Drivers are encouraged to avoid the area until the scene is cleared.
