FRANKLIN COUNTY, Mo. – “I’m a couple years past due for retirement.”
A woman in Franklin County, Missouri, is more than ready to enter her golden years after winning a $3 million top prize on a scratchers game.
She purchased the winning $3,000,000 Spectacular ticket at K’s Kwik Korner, 1213 Gravois Road, in St. Clair.
“Something told me to get the $30 ticket,” she said, adding that she normally plays the lower-priced games.
The player went on with the rest of her day, even showing up to work to share her good news.
“I went to human resources and they said, ‘I can’t believe you’re still standing!’” she said. “I just held my hands out, and they were shaking like crazy!”
$3,000,000 Spectacular is a $30 scratchers game from the Missouri Lottery. It launched in January 2023. Players have a 1 in 2.64 average chance of winning a prize, including the minimum $30 payout. Players can match any of their numbers to any of the winning numbers to win the prize shown. Only one $3 million top prize remains. Players can also enter their eligible “$3,000,000 Spectacular” tickets into their My Lottery Players Club accounts for a chance to win $500 cash in the next monthly “Scratch Big, Win Big!” drawing.
