ST. CHARLES COUNTY, Mo. – Francis Howell North High School students plan a walkout Thursday.
They say they want to “protest the school board’s ongoing pattern of discrimination and racism.” This is after the board voted to remove high school elective courses for black history and black literature last month.
They reversed the decision a week later because of backlash. Francis Howell School District officials say they requested law enforcement to provide security.
They say the goal is to maintain safety without disrupting classes.
