ST. LOUIS – Francine is here, and we have a few bands of light rain showers rotating through the region.

The rain will continue on and off Friday with a few rumbles of thunder possible in the afternoon and evening, but overall, the lightning threat is pretty low. Showers and patchy drizzle continue through the evening hours before mostly tapering off.

Francine stalls over southeast Missouri through Saturday and the storm system will gradually weaken, but showers continue at times on Saturday.

Scattered rain may become a bit more widespread into Saturday afternoon, and even a few non-severe storms may develop, especially across southeast MO and southern IL.

We’ll keep spotty showers in the forecast Saturday night and for Sunday, depending on how quickly the system drifts to the southeast. While a few showers can’t be completely ruled out Monday, by Tuesday we should be back to dry.

Temperatures with rain and clouds Friday will stay in the mid to upper 70s. Highs on Saturday and Sunday in the low 80s.

Another warming trend into next week with highs back to the upper 80s and maybe even 90s by late week.
