ST. CHARLES COUNTY, Mo. – A man from the O’Fallon, Missouri, area is accused of confronting a food delivery driver outside his home and shooting the driver.

The shooting happened just before 12:25 a.m. on July 7 in the 800 block of Barbara Place.

According to a St. Charles County Police Department spokesperson, the delivery driver had mistakenly left an order outside Dwayne T. Jones’ home and walked back to retrieve the food.

Jones confronted the driver in the driveway and shot the man once in the stomach, police said.

Officers found the victim in Jones’ driveway. He was rushed to the hospital with life-threatening injuries and taken into surgery. No additional updates on the driver’s condition were provided.
