ST. LOUIS – The icy conditions early Monday morning led to St. Louis Lambert International Airport seeing 38% of flights canceled, according to FlightAware.com.
“I got here last night; we boarded the plane, (then) they de-boarded us…I slept on the floor of Terminal One,” traveler Trenton Pinckard said.
By the afternoon, the number of delays had decreased and the number of passengers boarding planes had increased.
“It is what it is,” one traveler said. “I tell myself, ‘In five years, is this going to matter, yes or no?’ and it’s not going to matter. So, react accordingly.”
