ST. FRANCOIS COUNTY, Mo. – One person is dead after a two-alarm fire Monday evening.
The fire broke out around 5:15 p.m. in the 8700 block of Hillsboro Road. According to officials, 40 firefighters responded to the incident within 10 different fire districts.
An adult female managed to escape the fire and was transported to the hospital.
An adult male, who officials say is the son, died in the fire.
State Fire Marshals are investigating the cause of the fire. They say the incident does not appear suspicious in nature.
