Fire damages Wentzville apartment complex

WENTZVILLE, Mo. — A fire damaged an apartment building in Wentzville this morning at the Pine View Apartments on St. Charles Street. Fortunately, there were no injuries, but the fire displaced residents and caused heavy damage to all eight units in one building.

The fire started before 2:45 a.m., with flames visible from the roof upon the fire department’s arrival. Multiple departments responded to control the blaze. Resident Jason Husky, who escaped with his mother, helped alert neighbors to evacuate.

While no people were injured, some pets did not survive. Fire officials are investigating the cause, which does not appear suspicious.
