KIRKWOOD, Mo. – A father and a son face felony charges over a fight that followed a youth football game last weekend in Kirkwood.
The St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office charged Ronald Bean, 53, of East St. Louis, Illinois, and Khristopher Bean, 18, of Belleville, Illinois, each with one count of first-degree assault and two counts of third-degree assault.
The Kirkwood Police Department reports that the fight happened around 3:30 p.m. Sunday and followed an apparent vehicle “door-ding” incident that occurred prior to the football game.
According to court documents obtained by FOX 2, Ronald and his two sons, Kristopher and a juvenile, encountered three people who they struck repeatedly. The three victims were reportedly punched, kicked and forced to the ground.
The victims suffered a variety of injuries, including fractures, contusions and sprains, while at least one required stitches, per court documents. All three victims were sent to a hospital for treatment.

The Kirkwood Police Department says all suspects escaped from the area before officers arrived in response to the fight.
Missouri court records indicate that authorities have arrested Ronald Bean as of Thursday. He was booked into jail on a $250,000 cash-only bond. Ronald Bean has a preliminary hearing set for October 7.
