Ex-employee admits to stealing to support family in Mexico

CHESTERFIELD, Mo. – An ex-employee of a Chesterfield Best Buy has been charged with stealing over $25,000 worth of merchandise from the company.

Saul Zendejas-Gallegos was charged by the Chesterfield Police Department with felony theft of $25,000 or more.


These are the highest-paid state employees in Missouri and Illinois

A Best Buy investigation, using surveillance video, revealed that Zendejas-Gallegos stole Apple MacBook laptops and iPad tablets from the store, totaling $27,000 over several weeks.

Zendejas-Gallegos admitted to his Best Buy employers that he stole the items to sell and send the money to his family in Mexico. He also confessed to the police.
