ST. LOUIS – A 17-year-old murder suspect who escaped the city’s Juvenile Detention Center earlier this month is back in custody.
The suspect, whose identity was never released, escaped the facility on Saturday, Feb. 3. He’d been there since Dec. 8, 2023.
The St. Louis Circuit Attorney’s Office charged the juvenile with second-degree murder for the shooting death of 20-year-old Calvin Kelly in late October.
