ST. LOUIS — This Saturday, June 8, 2024, St. Louis Lambert International Airport will conduct an emergency response drill. The exercise will simulate a plane ingesting a drone during take-off, resulting in a simulated aircraft fire.

Runway 11-29, situated on the airport’s west side, will serve as the stage for this vital training operation. To enhance realism, the drill will feature role players acting out various emergency scenarios. The exercise will start at 9:00 a.m. and is expected to conclude around noon.

During the event, airport officials will hold a press conference, providing an opportunity for media representatives to observe and engage with the exercise.
