Dutchtown triple shooting leaves 1 dead, 2 injured; victim ID’d

ST. LOUIS – Homicide detectives with the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department have identified a man who died following a triple shooting in Dutchtown over the weekend.

According to a police spokesperson, the shooting happened just after 2 a.m. on Sunday, July 7, in the 4400 block of Grace Avenue.

Officers found one victim, Denis Perez-Canales, with a gunshot wound. EMS pronounced Perez-Canales dead at the scene. His age was not provided.

Police said a man and woman, both in their 20s, later arrived on their own at the hospital. The woman had been shot in the leg and the man suffered a gunshot wound to his back.

The investigation is still ongoing.
