ST. LOUIS – A major donor and former trustee, is suing Webster University.
According to the St. Louis at the Post-Dispatch, Jack and Shirley Schreiber said that the university wants to use donated money dedicated to scholarships, research, and professorships in order to meet a $37 million loan. Webster’s board chair declined to comment.
Over the past decade, Webster has lost more than $160 million. Last year, it was also sued for allegedly not paying rent at its satellite campus in downtown St. Louis.
