ST. LOUIS- Two suspects are under arrest in a 2019 double homicide case. Khalil Hughes and Breonna C. White, both 25, face charges of first-degree murder and armed criminal action in connection with the deaths of two individuals on September 22, 2019.

The victims were found shot multiple times in a Kia Forte on the 5800 block of Maffitt Avenue. After nearly five years of investigation, detectives say they have linked Hughes and White to the crime scene.

Key evidence includes DNA from a cigarette butt found at the scene, cell phone records placing both suspects in the area at the time of the murders, and surveillance footage of a vehicle fleeing the scene. The investigation also uncovered potential motives, including a dispute over a drug deal.

Both suspects were charged on September 5, 2024. They are being held without bond.
