UNIVERSITY CITY, Mo. – Crowds braved the bitter cold and gathered for the 17th annual Loop Ice Carnival on Saturday.

The winter weather gives a nice touch for several sculptures at the carnival. Guests also have a chance to enjoy ice carving demonstrations, an electrifying drone show and a temporary tattoo scavenger hunt.

Among the activities, craftsmen from Full Spectrum Ice will transform blocks of ice into works of frozen art.

The Loop Ice Carnival is free and running through 7:30 p.m. Saturday.
