ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. – In a FOX Files follow-up, it has been discovered that St. Louis County Executive Sam Page has opened up an investigation into salary overpayments to the county auditor, as he alleges there are more employees who are overpaid.

FOX 2 first reported on July 9 that a whistleblower identified $10,000 worth of overpayments made to Auditor Toni Jackson. Councilman Ernie Trakas demanded it be repaid, but the issue remains unsolved with a special meeting scheduled for Tuesday afternoon.

Page wrote Monday to the Director of Administration that he learned of “overpayments to at least three employees who report to the county council.”

Page has requested any and all documents relating to the overpayments to be released by 5 p.m. Friday.
