FAIRVIEW HEIGHTS, Ill. – Clothing retailer Express will shut down nearly 100 stores, including one in Fairview Heights, after recently filing for bankruptcy.

According to a court filing Monday, the Express store at the St. Clair Square mall is set to close doors. A closing date has not yet been determined.

Express is set to close three other stores in Illinois, all in the Chicagoland, and one in Missouri in the Kansas City area. It’s unclear if the bankruptcy filing will impact any other stores in the St. Louis area, but Express does list having stores open at the St. Louis Galleria and in Chesterfield.
