Climatologist: Missouri experiencing a once-in-20-year drought

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. – The dry stretch from April through November is the seventh-driest since 1895. This drought has affected farmers, livestock, and navigation along the rivers, and now there’s a concern for power plants and drinking water. Precipitation outlooks to recover from this drought do not look promising.
