ST. LOUIS – The family of 41-year-old Reanette Barber is pleading for help after she vanished while visiting St. Louis from Chicago.

Reanette was last seen Wednesday night around 9 p.m. near the 8700 block of Granada Pl. in Jennings, where she had visited her aunt. Her aunt said something felt off.

“She didn’t seem her usual self. I put it that way. I usually get along with all of them,” Roberta Rodgers said.

Theda Wilson, founder of Looking For An Angel Inc., is leading the search. Theda found out her cousin Reanette was missing after a call from a relative in Chicago.

“A relative in Chicago called me to let me know that she was missing. She was recently missing in August, and to find out she was missing again…of course, I’m highly concerned. She’s in my city, my area,” Wilson said.

A neighbor recalled seeing Reanette walk by in a brown dress with a sweater tied around her waist, waving as she turned the corner onto McLaran Avenue. By Thursday morning, the family was in distress, unable to reach her.

“I don’t know. I just hope that wherever she is that she comes back tonight that we know she’s alright,” Rogers said.

Reanette is five feet six inches tall, weighs 280 pounds, and is without her necessary medication. The family says they reported her missing to St. Louis County Police at 9:50 a.m. Thursday, but her picture was not posted on the Missouri Highway State Patrol’s website as of Thursday evening.

St. Louis County Police has no updates available at this time. The family is desperately asking anyone who has seen Reannette to contact St. Louis County Police in Jennings at (314) 385-4672 or reach out to the family directly at (314) 440-3422.
