ST. LOUIS — A winter weather advisory is in place beginning at midnight tonight through 6 p.m. Monday.  Today, temperatures warm up as the core of the Arctic air moves east.

Temperatures will warm to around 30 degrees and clouds will gradually increase. Southeasterly winds will be a bit breezy as well. Overnight into early Monday morning, an icy mix will spread into the region from the west and southwest.

This will continue through Monday morning and potentially into the early afternoon, changing to a cold rain as temperatures warm above freezing. The transition to rain happens from west to east so some areas could see the icy conditions a bit later in the day.

Total ice accumulations look to stay light, less than 0.1″. Rain continues into Monday night, shifting to the northeast through Tuesday morning. Temperatures on Tuesday will climb to the mid 40s. The active and wet pattern continues through much of the week with more rain possible, especially Wednesday into Thursday. Temperatures stay well above freezing.
