ST. LOUIS – Fast-food seafood chain Captain D’s is planning to expand its presence in the St. Louis area.
Captain D’s agreed to a 26-unit deal in May that calls for “duo opening locations” in St. Louis, Indianapolis, and North Carolina, according to a news release Friday from The Franchise Times.
The news release did not mention where future restaurants may be planned in the St. Louis region or how many of the 26 units are bound for the bi-state area.
“It was obvious to build out the St. Louis market, and when we looked geographically, Indianapolis was right across Interstate 70,” said Brad Reed, Captain D’s Chief Development Officer, via a news release. He described both markets as “underserved by Captain D’s.”
Captain D’s lists one location in the City of St. Louis (920 South Grand Boulevard) as temporarily closed. The company also lists locations in Florissant, Overland, and St. Ann in St. Louis County, one in St. Charles, one in Arnold, and three in the Metro East.
Founded in 1969, Captain D’s has more than 540 active locations. Fried fish entrees, hushpuppies and cracklins are among the restaurant’s top seafood selections. For the full menu, click here.
