BRIDGETON, Mo. – The City of Bridgeton announced Tuesday that Mayor Terry W. Briggs had passed away earlier in the day.
“Mayor Briggs will be remembered not only for his accomplishments in office but also his kindness and genuine concern for the well-being of others,” a statement from the city read. “His passing is a profound loss for our community, and his legacy will continue to inspire us for generations to come.”
Briggs had served the City of Bridgeton since April 2015.
Details surrounding his memorial service and other arrangements will be announced at a later date.
