ST. LOUIS – Thursday is the start of Black History Month, and St. Louis City officials will raise the ‘Pan-African flag’ at 10:00 a.m. outside City Hall.
It’s in Washington Square Park on Market Street at North 13th Street. St. Louis is one of only two North American cities that raises a Black History Month flag.
They’ve been doing this for more than a decade. St. Louis Mayor Tishaura Jones says its important to honor black history.
